Character Education
Hallsville Elementary has implemented the Core Essentials program. Core
Essentials is a character education program that provides a "value of the month" focus which encourages individual
classrooms, the entire school and every family to emphasize the same aspects of each value. This program is provided
to us by Chick-Fil-A.
As part of the program each month, you will receive a table card to use with your child.
The card is made to be folded and placed in a prominent location in your home. Many families enjoy sharing stories from
the card at mealtime. Try using story starters and activity suggestions with your children at least once a week.

Group
Counseling
Small group counseling will be offered. Topics covered
through small group include anger management, managing grief, friendship skills, study skills, divorce and social skills.
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is available to students who have experienced a crises.
Counseling is short term, usually three to six sessions, and is intended to assist the student through the crises period.
